She never gave such things even a thought back in New York when she was the servant of one of the houses of the city but now that she was alone she had too much time to ponder such things but here she was in the boondocks alone and prey. She changed later at her hotel and assumed the part of a young woman fresh out of college and looking to have fun in a flashy pink Kia Soul she’d bought because it had been the property of such a young woman whose party life had lost her ability to drive. This was a calculated move because the car was covered in the right stickers and filled with all the strange smells one might associate with such a girl; every disguise needed to take in such details if they were to be believable. She’d even gone as far as to buy her party clothing at a consignment store so it would be a year or two out of date and have the right amount of wear so that few might realize what she really was though perhaps it was more than necessary in such a provincial area filled with childer of such low quality that her only fear was that they swarm her if they detect her nature. So she parked her car in a lot near what she’d discovered was an area that all signs pointed towards being the locus of night stalker activity so she of course walked into it like any other oblivious mortal. She was soon rewarded by the clumsy approach of some weakly chosen kine who would be lucky to survive this evening but before then she planned on asking him some questions. Yes she was a Blood Doll but she didn’t mindlessly serve someone because they were kine but because they had a future and as a servant she knew this to be a young one and so clumsy he’d fall to the first average security guard with a gun and she was well beyond that. She knew he was behind her and even gave him an opening that a stumbling fool could see and he took it dragging her into the alley. He was stronger than her because of his having been touched by the blood of the first ones but he had forgotten that his prey was an Apex predator in their own niche which was how she lit him up with a powerful jolt of a modified Sting Ring that could deliver 24 million volts of current to a target for nearly 8 seconds before it needed to recharge it’s capacitor and she didn’t spare moment of the time. The young one went limp because of the weapon but would recover quickly so she worked as efficiently as she could using thick Zipties to confine his ability to move even finishing by turning what had looked like her purse into a blackout hood cinched around his neck. He regained his strength and began struggling in the alley while Ashley stood off to one side watching and waiting; he was powerful but modern technology had created bindings that control even him. It didn’t take long before the young one relaxed and began trying to bargain for his release thinking perhaps some of his lowlife friends had set him up so she spoke You will listen to what I say and you will comply with all my demands I will leave you to another night of existence defy me and I will end your torment for eternity. Her voice set him off and he stopped listening and began making threats so she applied the Stinger to him once more then waited till he regained his strength but learned not to be resistant Now these are my rules; you will answer my questions truthfully, you will not attempt to escape or I will show you what a consecrated silver blade can do and if you comply with these two rules I will as promised leave you your existence He was perhaps smarter than she’d given him credit for even if he lacked willpower as he answered her questions calmly and as far as she could tell truthfully so she thanked him and left him tied in the alley for she was no fool. She did a quick fix of her hair and dress then stepped out of the alley and headed to a bar he had said was called “Bite Me”
