Cypher was surprised by Sierra's response though she probably shouldn't have been. It took a special type of someone to make their way to the top of a leaderboard. Unlike the other games that circulated the market, Augmented War took into account a person's natural abilities via the reflexes him or her already possessed. Stats did increase when one leveled up, but that foundational reflex was what set apart the good players from the top players. Cypher certainly didn't have the time to practice like some of the top players, she surmised, but her occupation already drilled in elite operative reflexes. Because of that, the game really gelled with her. She wasn't looking to be the best. Her having fun put her there. The popularity was unnerving. Merely nodding to Sierra, Cypher checked her weapon as the timer began to countdown. The other players were talking among themselves. Cypher wondered how long it'd take to secure the round. Surely not long. The match begun. Cypher sprinted towards cover. Sighting the enemy players, she started to let out controlled bursts of fire. Beginning to rack up points for her team, she kept firing into the enemy ranks while shifting her fire to suppress flankers. Red icons popped up onto her HUD courtesy of Sierra. Checking the scoreboard, she was amazed at how many kills Sierra had already gotten. What surprised her even more was the following perks the player called on. Especially the gunship. If that wasn't overpowered, she didn't know what was. Cypher wasn't content on not doing her part however. Peeling away from her cover, she vanguarded into the enemy rank. Activating her suits shield barriers, she activated her adrenaline power as her senses her heightened. Sighting enemy players, she began to pull her trigger as she began to build up her kill ratio. A few bullets pelted into her shield, but it held. She'd used it enough to know its limits. Hearing Sierra's voice over the chat, Cypher smiled as she placed a bullet between the eyes of an enemy she kicked down. "And that makes 200." Transported back to the lobby, Cypher gave a thumbs up to her teammates before leaving the lobby like Sierra. It was best to leave if you were a top player. Kept the lower players from badgering you too much. About to look for another game, she received a message from Sierra. She opened it. Staying in her private HUD, she sent a message back. "That was by far one of the quickest matches I've been in. It was fun." Cypher pursed her lips before clicking on Sierra's profile. She sent her a friend request. "If I'm on, give me a shout. See if we can't raise some more hell."
