I sort of get the vibe you're talking about, in terms of the 'regal'/'flowery' speech. On my end, I definitely come across more formal in text just because I'm not used to writing my exact way of talking; however, I want to change that since the main protagonist of my story is pretty much a complete avatar of me.

Also, I don't have anything against the Discord chat itself, but due to a very big regular of it (who also happens to be a very popular member of this site to the best of my knowledge) having left an incredibly bad first impression with me - which did not improve over time, honestly - I've avoided taking a look at it myself.

It's definitely something that not many people achieve, but then being able to make [i]any[/i] relationship work is difficult for most people.
