wouldn't be a main character it'd be more like...hmm

So in my mind a witch with a familiar would have a power boost
but the trade off is if their familiar dies they loose a significant amount of power and they cannot summon/create a new one
if the witch dies the familiar dies

these creatures are like a part of the witch and are often small animals...since they are mystical i figure they can talk

so basically its a powerful witch with a talking cat 
would that be okay?
