But I don't see a problem with it. I mean...yes maybe Da should have mentioned it. But there's lots of stories out there with vampires that have magic. What if grants mother was a witch? 

He would have magical abilities. 

I think before you had done anything that maybe you should have discussed it with us first. Rather then just deciding for yourself. We are all in this together after all...
