As she threw the berries to the Aron, however, Shanae realized that despite how successful Turris had appeared to be in driving away the Graveler, winning the battle had still been an unlikely scenario. 


Although he arguably had more experience under his belt in regards to the world and had the help of a trainer, Turris would easily have been defeated by the wild Pokemon. The experience Turris had gained throughout the years was mostly not in battle—or at least the Aron hadn’t levelled up as much as the trainer would have liked—and the help Shanae could provide her Pokemon during combat was limited at best. 


At the end of the day, it was still up to her Pokemon to pull through with a combination of experience and ability, and Turris lacked in at least one if not both when compared with the wild Graveler, and—


Shanae paused, looking down at her Pokemon as it headbutted her leg gently.
