If it means anything, my second choice for a character was the smallest Orc with something to prove, raised by elves and instinctively begrudging of the world around them. Having a task to 'save the world' would be about as 'opportunity' as the word could describe.
He would have been 5'6 and a flowery rougish knight that hit on all the guys ;P
