Likes: Well thought-out story, interesting characters. It makes me want to read more to find out exactly what's causing these events. I also like the way you have Pokemon do more than just battle, and you explore their lives.

Dislikes: Not so sure about the use of the present tense, though that's quite a minor thing. And yeah, it did begin a little too slowly for my liking, maybe the two chapters that set things up could have been shortened and merged into one.

All in all, though, I enjoyed it.
