Likewise, Jonathan is smitten with Eleanora, so there's little risk of him catching feelings, as the kids say.  And Eleanora will keep a bit of an eye out for them, but she's fully aware of how head over heels Jonathan is for her, so she won't be too worried about him, nor too threatened by Violet.

Okay but they really don't.  They sometimes do, but, well, one is kinda skittish and is unpredictable about when he wants to be pet and when he's gonna scratch you, and the other is just a bitch, so when they get so much company and toddlers wanting to touch them who don't know how to tell when they've had enough - they scratch.
