Everything appeared so silent and motionless. The ravens in the raven tower were the first to wake up. They felt uneasy and a layer of fear was sneaking between them. It only took one bird with weaker nerves to break the silence with a grawk to have all the birds follow. The noise stir the residents in the mansion from their slumber. Lady Anna stood up collecting the sheets around herself as she did so, leaving her grumpy husband Elliones in their bed and exposed to the colder air. "Damn birds... If a hatrat had upseted them again I swear to the light...." "El." Anna shortly said her smile dancing on her lips, but the heaviness of her tone cut her husband complaints short. The lady the greatest hat maker in all of land was standing silently and watching out the window. There was a stillness to her posture that made Elliones sit up and take his sword from beside the bed. Without a warning she chuckled sounding overjoyed. "It snowed! I so want to make a snowman! Will you make a snowman with me? I will make you~" She declared bouncing to the wardrobe and pouting a robe over her form. Elliones didnt understand his wife most of the time, but upon of centuries of living with her he got some clues. And today he was getting the clue of panic and offness. Yeah sure, a stranger could say the lady was behaving like she always was. Yet the elf truly knew her. So the warrior followed after his lady as she declared she will go and wake up the children. Elliones was standing guard in hastily thrown on chainmail and pants, sword on ready in front of the door of each room. Guarding with a dead serious look as she skipped and ticked her children into awakeness. Some of them grown adults who didnt appreciate their mother antics. Especially miserable to the happy tone was Gordana who outright snared and tried to bite her mother fingers for letting the light in her dark cave of loneliness and despair. It was a normal start of the day, like many other. Elliones felt even more on edge, everything appeared as it should be, yet the lady steps were just that much less bouncy. Her eyes just that much more searching. The pair came to the last bedroom door on the floor. The butler's room, probably the only being able to follow the lady train of thoughts at any moment. The kobold was always close by, being an unwavering presence to El. His bedroom was empty. "Oh he must have gone to fetch a gemling for his breakfast." Elliones followed his lady downstairs and as she looked over the railing on the first floor down to the ground floor. A scream echoed. In the first moment Elliones didnt know who screamed, so unnatural that sound was from his wife lips, but it was then the elf released it was indeed her. "Anna!" Zorek came calling and running up confusion clear on his face a gun in each hand. "Are we being robbed?!" Lady Anna didnt speak, Elliones stuck staring at her and with the corner of the eye watching out for something evil or bad he could slam his sword into. "My dear!" Frango voice echoed as he too looked over the railing becoming white as a wall, wearing only his underwear and hair as messy as a bird nest. "Hohie was..." The dark haired elf was in moments beside his wife and pulled Anna into a hug giving her kisses on the forehead. Elliones was thankful to the other husband comforting his Anna as he was much more worried about the safety of their lives and the lives of their children to worry about her breakdown. "Who did this?" The dwarf shock his head giving a questioning glance to Elliones. Zorek frowned understanding the elf had no clue. "Someone will have to pay for this. Children go back to your rooms. Now! Adolfen dont let anyone come down. Do it son." The dwarf shoed his son back up stopping them coming any closer to the railing and seeing what was down there, also adding. "Mom will be fine." At seeing the worried glances of the children and adults. As her husband Zorek swore on his wealth that he will go to the ground of this. It took several minutes before Frango managed to lead Anna to his room, and Elliones and Zorek could tackle the situation head on, the house help by this moment aware of the situation and more than happy to accept guidance and orders from their masters. As they needed to do something, anything. "Who ever did it is gone." Zorek spoke. "Its must have happened during the snowstorm last night." "I dont think so." Elliones spoke hands crossed over his chest. "Oh please you all knowing elf butt, do tell me what do you not think so?" Zorek snapped irritably fingers twitching on his gun. "They couldnt have left...they are still here." The man whispered to the other, used to the temper of the dwarf and at this point not carrying about it. The silence between the two husbands stretched. The implication only unclear to the brainless.Especially after they combed the house for any intruder. There were no signs of a breaking in either. Zorek let a colorful curse. "I need to send a raven. There is someone I know. They could help us." Elliones spoke before he left the mansion main doors and made the first steps in the otherwise untouched snow.
