Took a bit, but now I have a second character to help the Kenjutsu & Airsoft Clubs a bit less lonely. Ooh, how about fifty!?" Name: Morioka Yukari Age: 16 Year: 3rd Clubs: Airsoft Club, Kenjutsu Club, has been pushing for the creation of a Science Club for a bit over a year now

At a glance, Yukari seems batshit insane, probably because, put simply, she is. In her defense, being hopped up on adrenaline and dopamine 24/7 can make a person can do that to a person. Yukari isn't the sort of person to ever stop and take a breather; if she's not doing something, it probably means she's asleep. It would suffice to say she's chronically high on life, if not on dopamine. As a result, Yukari's face is constantly decorated by an ear-to-ear smile, though it seems anything but innocent thanks to her not finding it necessary to keep her hair or clothes looking neat. Appearances aren't everything however; despite looking like somebody who would by all means gut a person then skip rope with their innards, Yukari's actually a pretty good person at heart. She's just really, really enthusiastic, more than a little bit crazy, and extremely impulsive. "Good" and "kind" don't always go hand-in-hand either. Yukari's a bit of an asshole, actually, but she'll have somebody's back if they need her. If Yukari suddenly wants to do something, she just does it without consulting any person or rulebook first. Despite being a smart kid, she's the sort of person who can and will break the same rule repeatedly because she has exactly zero fucks to give. She'll do something bad, get in trouble, leave on her merry way, then do the same thing again, all with the same shit-eating grin on her face. Such is the cycle of Yukari as a rulebreaker. As previously mentioned, she's not stupid. Quite the contrary, in fact; Yukari is an extremely intelligent girl, and observant to boot. If she's paying attention to something, no detail will escape her or the steel trap known as her mind. Perhaps her intelligence is why she's so fascinated with science. Or maybe it's just because she likes explosions and the like. A devoted researcher and fan of what she calls "the science of destruction", Yukari studies across various scientific fields, but her research always adds up to how much of X subject Y can take before Y finally breaks. On its own, this would be fine, but the problem here lies in that Yukari is a very hands-on researcher. She doesn't just want to calculate how much wind a building can take before it loses its integrity; she wants to be there and watch it happen. Likewise, she isn't happy just calculating how much weight per square foot solid earth can take before starting to give in; she'd have to set up the experiment herself. Yukari's research has a knack for putting her life in danger. She doesn't even seem to care if she dies; that would just show how much damage an adrenaline-pumped human body can take before dying. Fortunately, she has little interest in living subjects for the time being. Of all the words out there, Yukari's favorite is extreme. It suits the theme of her research perfectly, and makes everything more fun. When Yukari does something, she goes 200% all-in, and expects anyone - or anything - else to do the same. Anything less than the extreme of effort is an insult to her, be it a fight, research, or even something as mundane as making food. Yukari hates quitters above all else, and would like to pretend they don't exist. Of course, that can be difficult when things that don't exist actually do to her. One shouldn't be surprised to spot Yukari seeing or hearing things that aren't there. A schizophrenic, Yukari treats her hallucinations the same way she treats her daily life: Gung ho with a side of destructive science. While she's smart enough to generally deduce what's real and what isn't, she isn't the type of person to just ignore somebody. Passing oneself off as one of her hallucinations is not smart. While she can be violent with real people, her treatment of the fake ones would have her put in prison if they were real. "Violent" doesn't even begin to cover it. Perhaps it's the result of being unable to feel pain. Maybe it's her letting off stress or trying some twisted coping mechanism to keep her hallucinations in check. Or maybe - and most likely - she's just a sadistic little shit. Whatever the case, Yukari's treatments for her hallucinations are not something the faint of heart should inquire about. According to Yukari's account, they are very, VERY painful, tortuous, and to her, absolute bliss. She's expressed several times that she'd like to try diluted "treatments" with real people to observe the aftereffects, but blames herself for the lack of volunteers. If nothing else, at least she's honest.

Yukari was born with a glandular defect. Specifically, her medulla - responsible for creating adrenaline and, to an extent, dopamine - is extremely active. It's constantly pumping adrenaline and dopamine into Yukari's system, and the result is...well, Yukari. Growing up, holding friendships was a challenge for Yukari. She was violent, for one, and other kids just couldn't keep up with her pace. Not that Yukari had any problem with that; they just slowed her down, after all. It wasn't just physically, either. Despite her behaviors perhaps suggesting otherwise, Yukari is a genius, and was able to skip an entire grade early into her schooling. Friends were quickly made and quickly lost, and as the years moved on it became clear that Yukari wasn't just another hyperactive child. At age twelve, Mr. and Mrs. Morioka took Yukari to the doctor to see if something was wrong with her, at which time her medulla problem became clear. She was also diagnosed as being likely to develop schizophrenia (she did so about a year later), as well as having ADHD. Her parents tried to work with the suggestion of medicating her to bring her adrenaline and dopamine levels down, but medicating somebody who's smarter than you isn't easy. Especially if they don't want the meds. When they asked about alternative treatments, the doctor simply suggested to keep her active so that she'd tire herself out. Things were good for the walking ball of bodily chemicals. At age 13, Yukari began her schooling at Saint Lilium. Yukari has proven time and again to be problematic. Her violent streak - while dampened - still exists, and she has difficulty maintaining herself in an orderly fashion. However, her stellar grades and being such a valuable asset to both the Airsoft and Kenjutsu Clubs in school tournaments, combined with being a legitimately good person despite her flaws who has definitely done good things for student and staff alike when she can, have done just enough work to keep her from being removed from the school. Besides, she's already been here for two years. Just one more and the staff is finally rid of Yukari, then she's somebody else's problem.

Theme: Nicki Taylor - Get Jinxed! English VA: Sarah Anne Williams Japanese VA: Uesaka Sumire
