[@Dynamo Frokane] Admittedly, Kingdom Hearts can get a little more complicated when you're openly forced to use magic or deal with weird situations, but not by very much. It's mostly the hidden bosses that provide most of the challenge in the games, but even then you can just level grind to negate that, or have really good timing with certain mechanics. To be perfectly honest with you though, I consider every single Final Fantasy game very easy to beat all the content in and - in most cases - to 100% as well. I don't really play those games for the gameplay, but for the storyline and the aesthetic/music/et cetera -- the creator of the FF series even went on interview himself for saying the purpose of the series was telling stories and not creating action games. Generally, I find most action games easy too, and this bleeds over into any genre I touch if I actually give enough shit about it to try it. One of the most infamous JRPGs out there in terms of making people give up - due to them not being able to beat the first bosses - is a game I've not only gotten 100% completion on but my save file also includes a 'no direct damage' rating in my scoreboard. To put this into perspective, it would sort of be like never taking any damage throughout the game outside of your shield. Still a great game. Edit: Not that this inherently changes the point I'm making about Kingdom Hearts itself being pretty simple, but I've actually played games before, even fighting games, that only use one or two buttons and still managed to be more tactically demanding than a lot of action games or sandbox games. Bullet hell games also only have one attack button usually and only one attack at all sometimes, yet still manage to be more challenging than a lot of other video games. This is mostly trivia though, since my general attitude is I agree that Kingdom Hearts is easy -- I just don't inherently dislike the game for it. Short answer is I don't usually define a game's combat system as bad because I find it easy, since if I did I'd probably think most games are shit. Sometimes I just want to relax and kill some mooks while I enjoy a story -- I'll stick on Soul Calibur V or play a game of chess if I want tactics.
