Ensign Quinn was bubbling with excitement as he received the call to the main transporter. Quickly, he rushed to finish his final duties before grabbing his equipment and making his way to the room. Maybe he was being a bit too childish. He certainly wasn't behaving in a way that a model Ensign would, but he couldn't help himself. This is what he signed up for, after all! Exploring space, going to new worlds, and studying the unique and exotic flora and fauna of various planets. Who knew what sort of strange things he would find on the planet! What sort of culture did the locals have? He could already guess based off of the geography of the land and their simple buildings, but still, no two societies could be exactly the same, could they? He was thinking too much, but he it didn't matter. As he approached the door, he composed himself, trying (but failing) to hide the very big, and no doubt very stupid, grin on his face. As he saw Lt. Commander Sayer though, the reality of the situation truly dawned upon him. This would be one of his first true away mission. He would be a member of a small team, and they would expect him to do his part, maybe even depend on him. The Lt. Commander was trusting him, and if he blew it, well... he didn't want to think about that. His smile faltered slightly as he struggled with the sudden urge to puke everywhere, and with that, he stood at attention.
