I don't know when in FFIV's timeline Gohan wanted to set Kain's story, but I have a specific point in the timeline in mind for Cecil/Golbez and their plot won't work unless it's set at that point, so if our timeline ideas aren't compatible when we'll need to make them from separate universes. [@Gohan], if you'd like to know when in FFIV's timeline I'm setting the plot for Cecil/Golbez, I'll PM it to you since Raddum doesn't have any FFIV characters and this information could spoil something about Golbez. If you're running with the idea that Kain's lost his memories though - or don't have a timeline point in mind - then I won't reveal it to you. While I imagine there won't be a point doing this after Gohan reads who the character is, I'll make my initial response to the new character in a hider. Not at all what I was expecting, but given how Zidane could very possibly have become a villain if he'd let Garland (who I had considered bringing over at one point, and still could) control him this does make sense. Since Zidane never lost his memories during the part of the story in Terra, am I meant to assume that this memory loss is a result of coming to the cycle? Due to The Emperor's machinations a lot of characters who've come here have screwed up or at least limited memories. The connections you're making between Zidane/Edgar and Garnet/Terra make sense, though less than Firion and Galuf since those two actually physically resemble the characters in question more (Firion more so than Galuf due to colour scheme), but I'll definitely be having Zidane's flirting result in Terra getting a familiar feeling and possibly flashing back to Edgar. Particularly since I'm focusing on the more kind-hearted and healing magic nature of Terra, I can see why she'd make him think of Garnet as well, so I like where this could go. It does sound like Zidane could be a thorn in side of the 'Big Bad Duumvirate' (if you know the trope, you'll probably think this is fitting at least until they betray each other and a legit Big Bad is established), though given how Kuja was able to outwit and manipulate the heroes into doing things for him on multiple occasions they might still be able to mess with him despite the rebellious nature if they play their gambits well. Also, actually having Zidane here makes me even more interested in potentially bringing Kuja over, though when exactly in the timeline this Kuja comes from could be a bit complicated or interesting due to the very specific point in the game this Zidane seems to be from, at least assuming they're from the same FFIX universe (I'm rolling with the multiverse idea, meaning the novel version of The Emperor and the game version both actually exist somewhere, and this version I've made might not even be either of them). On a final note, I recommend you include a link at the bottom to the FFWiki page of Zidane that isn't related to Dissidia - like I've done with all mine - since this isn't actually the Dissidia incarnation of Zidane and therefore the reference material is helpful to everyone. That's basically my only 'complaint' about the CS.[/hider] Edit: Come to think of it, I never asked you to do it for Kefka. Gohan, based on what I said to Raddum, I think Kain's information from the overall FFWiki should be included as well, not just the information from his Dissidia page (meaning both links should be available). That is, of course, unless this version of Kain is the version from the Dissidia series, but didn't he permanently die in Duodecim? With this in mind, it has to be a different Kain.
