Shounen-problem of the day right there. Sadly the clans are really specific in what they do. 
Maybe for a Hyuuga you could skip the taijutsu style and instead focus on some long-range stuff that puts your eyes to good use? 
Maybe focus on opening tenketsu (chakra holes) instead of closing them like we see everyone else do? (This is possible, I think Neji says it). 
Maybe not have a tragic backstory about how you/your father/Some guy you just met was treated like trash by the main family?

Same problem with Aburame, really. Although they opened up for the use of many different kinds of bugs toward the end, Shino's Kikaichuu are just too cool to pass up. I do have a fun idea with mosquitoes though...
