At Dawn
The year is 2175 R.C. The United Nations Federations is undergoing a technological reform with the acquisition of Professor Valkinai, the creator of the mechanized armored suits of the same name. As we speak, scientists and engineers work tirelessly on many advancements of weaponry, vehicles and battle ready Valkinai suits. At the same time, the terrorist group, Ordo Sanctus, are preparing an advancement of their own. However, their step forward is a mystery. Fortus spins on as these two forces inch closer to a bigger conflict. Where and how this happens, no one knows. There mssion? Uncertain.There were contact by the General, himself. The men and women selected here were chosen for their unique composition, but will they be up to the task? The Terra flies at a decent altitude, high enough to avoid issues but low enough to be seen. Dusk still hangs on to this area of Fortus, the threat of the dawn ever-looming. The crew starts to stir one by one, either going to their assign positions, grabbing an early meal from the onboard mess hall or doing morning work out routines. The Captain of the Terra, Vaxel Dawn, resides at the bridge, making sure that the route is clear and having his men check on the Terra’s fuel levels. He adjusts his hat before asking: “How’s our flight path?” “All clear.” The male operator quickly responds, “No changes in weather and we’re the only ship in the sky.” “Very good. The General will be expecting us in Regalis and the last thing we need is to be late. Let me know if anything changes." “Yes sir!” Captain Dawn speaks causally with his crew, but you can tell there is loads of trust in how much respect they show back to him. In the hanger, toward the back of the Airship, you’ll find Valkinai, land rovers and a large tank of interesting design. The rest of ship is up for exploring.
===================
Time:06:00 On the eastern coast of Priscus, a particular harbor is guarded by UNF soldiers. On the surface that is. Merely a front to avoid suspicion. This harbor has been long abandoned by the UNF and is now one of Ordo Sanctus’ temporary bases. Fadio Ginsburg, the leader of the Ordo Sanctus is not present here but his second in command, Commander Hale, is. Hale, herself, is manning a communications console while a group of mechanics work on Valkinai parts nearby. “Roger that. Make sure to hold your position for now. If Federation dogs come sniffing around, use pathway B as an exit and regroup on the Delta point in Regalis.” She instructs members of her team with calculating precision. Before checking in on another team, a female mechanic speaks up. “Ma’am? We’ve finished the boosters for the Mark VI speed boost.” “Ah, good timing.” despite a cold demeanor, she smiles as a proud mother would for her daughter. “Excellent work. Make sure to install this immediately. You never know when a battle will erupt.” The accommodation here is tight and rudimentary but it’s serviceable. A hangar near by houses the Valkinai that are being outfitted for a particular operation. The ones chosen for this operation are few but skilled. They are to meet with Commander Hale for a mission briefing at 0700. The operation is high priority and the details are secret but all that is known is that it will turn the tide to the Ordo Sanctus’ favor. And that is worth fighting for.
