Never is she seen without a smile on her face, wanting to help someone with something or be there for someone else to cheer them up. The first thing that people notice when they see her is her smile, comprised of thin lips and a bright and radiant set of teeth (with a small gap between her two front ones, which just adds to her childlike optimism). Bouncing from left to right behind the customer service desk, Maricel busied herself with various activities when there was not a customer to be serviced. Another customer service member stood behind her, filing what appeared to be paperwork for the day; menial tasks were her job whereas Maricel chomped at the bit to help someone or do something active. "Hey, Mari." The voice of her coworker pulled her from her working groove, brown curls bouncing as she turned her head sharply. A plucked and filled brow arched at her coworker, who pursed her lips in thought. Tapping her black inkpen to her lower lip, the woman seemed to form words in her head before speaking, nodding in agreement with herself before looking up at Maricel and speaking. "I need you to run to the back room for me. I'm the manager assigned to customer services today, so I can't go just in case there's something I need to care of, but I need some fixtures. Can you pull a flat of them for the checklanes?" "Yeah, most def," Maricel nodded, "Do I need to get ahold of the back room and tell them to pull a flat for me to push around, or--" "No," her manager replied, short brown hair flipping as she shook her head. "You should be fine. I think the only ones on the schedule are David and Eugene. They're both pretty chill with people coming back there as long as they don't mess with the system. Er. Well, David is. I haven't spoken to the kid, much." "Alright, I'll... head back there, then." She nods. "Walkie me if you need me!" With that, Maricel walked with a special spring in her step through the runways of the store, bobbing and weaving through people. She said hello to customers and coworkers alike, stopping once or twice to point someone in the correct direction. (Seriously, if this department store had an 'employee of the month', she'd have it for six months straight.) Eventually, the girl slipped behind the final row of fridges in their grocery department, pushing open the easy-to-open albeit giant double doors that separated the customer-allowed, free-roam store to the inner mechanisms of the store itself: the back room. It was rare for Maricel to be here in the first place; the customer service desk normally had things brought to them, not the other way around. However, if the back room was as understaffed today as her manager said, then it's reasonable for her to come back to the back instead of asking one of them to pull something and waste their time bringing it to the front. It's not like she was doing anything important right then anyways; hell, she was so bored she was about to go clean restrooms. Pushing her shoulders back as she walked around the cold back room, the latina girl wrapped her arms around herself to combat her stance immediately, shrinking a bit. "Flats, flats, flats..." she frowns, looking around the backroom for the equipment. Man, this really was a pain, to be in a part of the store that you knew nothing about, looking for something that you didn't even begin to know where it was. Pursing her lips, Maricel turned yet another corner, finding something a bit more interesting than a flat. Standing at the other end of the aisle was a person— er, in actuality, he was laying down— hiding, almost. Pursing her lips inquisitively, Maricel quickly and quietly walked her way down to the other end of the aisle to investigate further. She was familiar with the cast and crew of the department store, smirking a little bit when she found none other than Eugene Song tapped out completely in a stack of boxes and cushioning papers. Oh, how sweet. In a mixture of sweetness and spice, Maricel brought her manicured fingers to her mouth, grinning all the while as she wrapped her lips around her pinkies, blowing and letting out one of the shrillest whistles that could be heard in the back room. "Hey, sleepyhead, wake up!"[/sub]
