Alex couldn’t help the thoughtful expression that came over his face as Jordyn explained her fear to him. It was a very logical fear, and he could understand it completely. Though, he did suddenly feel a rush of worry fly over him. He was a being of fire, no matter how controlled he could be normal… if he ever got angry enough… He looked to her as she continued though and he gave a gentle smile. It was as if she could hear his insecurity, and he gave a light chuckle at her description of how he looked when he started losing it. “Really glad that I don’t scare you, and again glad you find it so pretty.” He said, and he placed a kiss to the side of her temple before she asked him. His eyes looked down first before his head followed the motion. He gave a gentle sigh, “It’s nothing you’d ever have to worry about. My fears, two are tied pretty equally, are things that are kind of weird…” he admitted before he looked back to her. “First, I’m afraid of becoming anything like my father. He’s what’s driven me to make so many choices. After I saw him try and kill Billie, shit she was barely fifty, and I got back from getting my new orders to find him trying to kill her. It drove me to hate him… he wasn’t always bad, but watching him corrupt as badly as he did… it’s always scared me that I could be like that too.” He said. He shook his head a bit before going on. “The second, well, I’ve been in war before… done some things that I’m not proud of. I went AWOL to bring Billie to earth to protect her and it was probably the best decision I’ve ever made. Anyway, I’m afraid of things I’ve done in war being used against the people I care about most.” He admitted before he took hold of her hand, gently. He looked over to Blaze and watched as she seemed amazed at the plant before her. She sniffed it, carefully, before sitting up and examining it more thoroughly. Her next question made him smile though. “To be completely honest, I’d want to be a bird. They seem so free and they can just go wherever the wind takes them. Seems like a nice kind of life to live.” He chuckled a bit. “What about you?” As the evening went on, Alex was extremely glad that he had decided to spend this time with Jo. It was a nice change of pace compared to the rest of the day. He looked at the clock, noting it was getting rather late. He was still weak, tired, and just wanted to sleep, but he couldn’t stay. Not having Blaze with the pups still here for their visit. Finally at about 11, he gave Jo a gentle kiss and gathered up his things. “I’ve had a lot of fun tonight, thanks. But it’s getting late and Blaze, I’m sure, is getting anxious to get back to her pups.” He watched as Blaze lifted herself from the floor and took his side, and he patted her head. “Good night, Jo. I’ll see you in the morning.” He said, and with that he left. -- Darren watched Jackie as she talked about wanting to get the little ghost girl for embarrassing her. He had to admit, it sounded like quite a first night for Jackie. Hell, even today was one that’d go down in the books for most interesting first day he’d witnessed. An almost fight, an actual fight, and all the other drama he hadn’t been subjected to but had heard about. “Say the word, you know I’ll help you out somehow if you need it.” He told her before he took another drink from his glass. He noticed Jackie looking to the clock, which caused him to do the same thing. Was it really already that late? He thought, and Jackie’s next question caused him to pause a moment. Before he could answer her, she said she’d be out early, she just didn’t want to be alone tonight. He couldn’t blame her either. He didn’t particularly like the aloneness either, but if it kept him low key he’d deal with it. “Sure.” He said, realizing she was still waiting on his answer. “Besides, you’re special and I actually quite enjoy your company.” He said. He moved from his chair and opened his dresser drawer, pulling out a large t-shirt and a pair of his pajama pants and handed them to her. “Here, since I don’t figure sleeping in what you’re currently wearing would be too comfortable.” Eh, what could he say, she was a friend. A very hot friend… one who didn’t need to be sleeping with Devin, but who was he to judge? He watched as she went into the bathroom and he changed into his own pajamas before sitting back down and drinking some more. At least being alone wasn’t something he’d have to deal with this year. -- Adrian couldn’t help but chuckle at Molly’s comment. “I guess because I’m still new I’m not allowed to TA or some bullshit, I don’t know. But yeah, history is kinda my thing.” He said. He didn’t like admitting it all the time, but history did hold valuable lessons, if people would pay attention enough to catch it. “History of war is by far the most interesting and I’m glad we’re starting with it.” His mind needed a rest from this recruiting business. It would come in time, at least that was what he had to remind himself of, and when she asked about the third wars he just shook his head. “A girl. Kinda like in human history, the legend of Troy…. Essentially what happened, but instead of one burning they joined together because the hunters came in and began hunting both. It forced the two to ally, and even though things are still rocky, they are in forced peace still. Nothing like the angels and demons… that’s still a huge mess.” Once Molly said she was ready, Adrian headed over and laid down next to her. He couldn’t say he minded it too much, but it was an adjustment. He hadn’t slept next to another person in years and it was a bit of a welcomed change, even he couldn’t deny it. He gently put his arm around her middle and fell asleep not long after lying down. -- “Billie…. Logan… guys.” A soft voice came through Billie’s mind as she slowly opened her eyes. She blinked a little bit, her eyes adjusting to the light of the room as she sat up. She looked down to see Logan right there beside her and then turned her head to see Clary. She rubbed her eye a bit and ran a hand through her hair. “Clary, what is it?” she asked, clearing her throat a bit. “We have like 45 minutes until classes start, and Harlow would kill you if you were late, B. I figured you’d have been up by now.” Clary said. The words immediately registered in Billie’s mind and she practically tripped with how fast she got out of Logan’s bed. “Shit, shit, shit, shit.” She muttered as she pretty well threw off Logan’s sweatpants and jumped into her jeans from the night before. She flung his shirt off as well and managed to tug her own back on. “Fuck!” she hissed, and she looked in her bag before looking to Logan and then Clary. “Clary, if I’m not in the classroom by like five til, come find me.” She said, and Clary nodded and watched as Billie practically flew out the door. She had her bag on her shoulder and as she rushed herself down the hall towards her room, she noted Jackie was coming down the same hallway in the opposite direction. She so did not have time for this, but it didn’t stop the glare that she had sent Enderman. Billie just kept on going down the hall, and she got to her shared bedroom to find Alex already dressed for class and putting his books together. “Hey, B. You’re running late.” He commented off handed, and Billie gave a nod as she waved her hand and watched as her things in her bag tucked themselves away as she headed towards the bathroom. “I overslept. And yeah, Harlow will kill me if I’m late.” She said, and Alex watched as she began washing her face, and he grabbed her uniform for her. She closed the bathroom door, and he sighed, leaning against it. “Well, while you’re rushing, you got a minute to talk, right?” he asked through the door. “Yeah, sure. What’s up?” she asked, and Alex sighed. “I’m sure you know that things between the vampires and the Unseelie are about to get… well… interesting.” He said, nearly falling as she opened the door. Alex saw she went back to the mirror and began putting on her make-up. “Yes, and your point?” she said, and he sighed. “Say if they were to come to you and want to ally, would you?” he asked and he was fixed with a look. “Fine. I have a feeling that the Unseelie leader, which is Jo’s sister by the way, will realize just how outnumbered they are. If she does come ask for demon help, would you say yes?” Billie stopped and sighed. “Alex, I understand your concern, but is that really a move you want the repercussions of? You know if the Unseelie allied with the demons that yes, it’s a smart move on both of our parts yes, but I still will not okay unwarranted violence.” She said and he nodded. “I’ll take them. Jo is just worried because I guess whatever her sister did was a sign of saying it’s on.” He said, and Billie gave him a look as she finished up her make up and began doing her hair. “Well, yeah. Unseelie signs of war aren’t something were used to, but that was definitely one. Whether or not the vampires realized it is one thing, but I did. I knew, but if it means so much to you, if she talks to me I’ll give it a chance. Alright?” she said, and Alex nodded before he looked at Billie and then the clock. “Thanks, Billie, but I got to go. Going to meet up with Jo.” He said. “And you might want to hurry, you’ve got like ten minutes until class starts.” “Fuck!” Billie hissed as she watched Alex chuckle his way out of their door. She frantically threw her things in her bag and headed towards Harlow’s classroom. -- Cole let out a long stream of smoke as she headed down the hall towards Clary’s room. Morning Glory, plus going to meet up with a new friend was a good combination. Cole heard her feet across the floor, but she didn’t care, not even as she walked past Enderman in their hallway. She wasn’t going to let anything get in on her good vibe today. She got to the door a few minutes later and gave a gentle knock on the door and she saw Clary open it. Cole came in and noticed a rather frantically getting ready Logan and chuckled a bit. Clary was putting his books together for him and Cole walked over to Logan and placed her hands on his shoulders. “Take a chill pill, Mr. Vampy Pants.” She said. “Class don’t start for another half an hour. Relax, chill…” Clary looked over to Cole and Logan and raised a brow as Cole dug in her bag. “Man bro, your vibes are killing me.” She said, and Clary just sat down and lit a joint before handing it to Logan. “Hit this man, it’ll make you feel better.” Clary looked at the joint and covered her mouth. She couldn’t remember what Cole had called it, but she knew Drake had said it gave him a high that lasted hours on just two hits. Oh god, Cole was trying to get her brother high! I mean, she couldn’t say she could blame her, Logan did need to chill out, but she wasn’t sure if getting him high would help. -- Harlow sat in his empty classroom early that morning, a cup of coffee mixed with whiskey sitting on his desk. He wasn’t normally into drinking this early, but with the way today was going to go, he had a feeling he’d need it. He looked over the lesson plans he had laid out for Billie and then looked to the blank blackboard. At least he knew that today would be easy enough until his sixth hour class. He looked at his watch, seven minutes until class and Billie came practically running into the room. She looked at her own watch and seemed proud of herself. “Good morning, Billie.” He greeted and Billie set her things down before she nodded to him. “Morning Professor.” She said, and Harlow let out a sigh. “Billie, I hate to ask, but I need a favor from you today.” He said, and Billie looked at him as she took a page from him and began writing on the blackboard. He continued, “I have a meeting with Aren sixth period. I know it is your only actual free period in the day, but would you mind teaching the lesson for me?” Billie gave him a look and nodded slowly. “Sure? Something wrong?” she asked. Harlow shook his head. “Not really, just have a potentially problematic new student coming today.” He said and she nodded, going back to the blackboard as the first few students began filtering in.
