conflicting? aside from the new season and Sunrise shamelessly rehashing the main character, it was one of the most conclusive and satisfying endings that I can name to this day. Every possible loose end was tied and cleaned up... though it left me with sadness, as CG was one of the few mech anime that isn't gundam that I can appreciate.
