It sounded more like a joke about how self explanatory 'Appearance' was, Something I've seen GMs do in the past. In my experience, GMs will say "words, not pictures" when they want a text description.

That being the case, while it saddens me, I'll have to drop out of this now. Giving detailed text descriptions of a person is my greatest weakness in RPing. It's really too bad; I was looking forward to this
