Despite her protesting shoulder muscles, Ella helped Leisy and Vivian carry the cage to the Pokecentre. She gave a sigh of relief as the nurse informed her all three Pokemon would survive. The group had succeeded, but there were still more to find.

After getting Treasure healed, Ella headed to the room she'd booked, sagging from sleepiness and overexertion. Once she'd fed and returned Treasure, she dug another Pokeball from her pocket. [color=hotpink]"You can come out now,"[/color] she whispered as she pressed the button. She was just glad this particular Pokemon hadn't been involved in the battle.

Hissing, the Ekans disappeared under the bed. [color=hotpink]"Hey! It's alright,"[/color] Ella said, crouching down, even as she kept her distance at the other end of the room. Keeping his yellow eyes fixed on her, the Ekans remained there for what must have been a minute before his new trainer managed to coax him out.

[color=hotpink]"You know... If you don't want to travel with me and my friends, I could take you back to the forest,"[/color] Ella offered. [color=hotpink]"Once this is dealt with, of course."[/color] If the Ekans wanted to go back, she wasn't releasing him anywhere near the poachers.

As the Ekans slowly slithered towards her, Ella gripped the Pokeball, ready to return him if he tried to attack. Instead, after flicking his tongue out a few times, he coiled up, appearing to relax.

[color=hotpink]"Ehh... You must be hungry,"[/color] Ella said, pulling a Poketreat from her bag and leaving it in front of him. Stretching out, the Ekans gobbled up the treat, then gave another hiss, a softer, satisfied one this time.

Maybe others wouldn't agree, but to Ella, when the snake hissed, he did kind of look as if he were smiling. [color=hotpink]"Good to see you happy,"[/color] Ella chuckled. [color=hotpink]"So I take it you want to stay... You'll need a name, then. And I know just what it should be!"[/color]

She typed a name into her Pokedex before looking with adoration at her newest Pokemon. [color=hotpink]"Smiley. How about that? Because you really do look like you're smiling sometimes. And when you evolve, you'll have the most beautiful smiley face pattern!"[/color]

Her friends would probably consider it a questionable choice, but it made perfect sense to her.

[color=hotpink]"So..."[/color] She held up the Pokeball. [color=hotpink]"What do you want to do? Do you want to sleep in here, or...?"[/color] She didn't want to distress him again, but she still wasn't entirely comfortable at the thought of the Ekans being out of his Pokeball while she slept. Thankfully, Smiley brushed his head against the Pokeball, disappearing into it.

[color=hotpink]"Goodnight, Smiley,"[/color] she said before getting ready for bed and settling under the blankets. She'd need her sleep. Tomorrow was going to be another tough day, but she and her friends would do everything they could.
