Hello there! I am interested in this, but I've a single point of contention - the obfuscation of light within the rules. While I understand the qualms with it presented, I can't agree with the decision to wholly void a widely used combat application based only on the issues presented for several reasons. The most glaring is that if light is disallowed, then why is 'Shadow/Darkness' not disallowed in conjunction? It is just as easily abusable being an omnipresent source of power, having no reliable default speed, and being able to be equally instaneous and 'invisible' in the hands of a crafty user. It seems this rule exists more due to a personal issue stemming from anecdotal cases rather than objective fairness. I suppose my overarching argument is that all elements when taken to and beyond their logical extremes have OP potential. Rather than wholly barring an element, why not specifically disallow those things you find to be 'cheap' or unfair with it? Just food for thought.
