The dramatic group pose worthy of an action movie was met with only a silent, irate glare by the entranced young woman.  Around her, the entourage of Morelulls blinked in surreal rhythm, jealously protesting those who would dare steal their new friend away.  After a few moments, Cici drawled out her dismissal and turned to leave.  Olivie eyed the deceptively adorable Pokemon who led her away using ribbons made of flesh.  Several of the cruel fairies remained behind during her departure, but they remained still as if waiting.  No doubt their flashes would have lulled Olivie, Bernard, and their Pokemon to sleep were they not poisoned, but the pain coursing through their veins kept them awake and alert.  Unwilling to let the bewitched trainer slip away, Olivie cracked her knuckles and made to follow.

From the underbrush, a trio of bizarre, alien creatures appeared.  They moved as one to block the trainers' path, staring at them with unblinking pitch-black eyes and uncanny, haunting smiles.  Around them, wisps of magic revolved, but Bernard responded to the imminent assault with a smug smile, for he recognized these Pokemon.  [color=3EB489]”Shiinotic—Feyhollow's boogeymen.  We made the right choice with the poison.  Normally they'd be horrifying to fight, but...Scylla, Sludge Wave.”[/color]

With unexpected speed, the Tentacruel became engulfed in a rushing torrent of poisonous slop.  It stormed around her like a maelstrom, overflowing with power, and when Scylla slammed herself against the ground, a riptide of sludge surged forth.  It crashed into the slow-moving Shiinotic, bowling them over and inundating them with quadruple-effective toxins.  Where the wave passed over, the grass was dead and brown, its plants withered.  One Shiinotic, however, picked itself up.  Olivie, thinking quickly, scooped up her Nidoran and hurled him at the mushroom creature with as much strength as she could muster.  As it flew, the venomous rodent someone understood its purpose, and thrust his horn forward to deliver a nasty Poison Jab to his opponent's cranium.  It delivered a spiteful sigh of defeat and toppled over, leaving the forest clearing quiet, still, and dark.  Most of the remaining Morelull had fled, though some -caught in the sludge wave- lay dying on their sides on the now-noxious ground.  Their dimming lights barely illuminated the path down which Cici and the Sylveon had disappeared; Olivie knew where she had to go next.  She took a step and doubled over, barely preventing herself from vomiting.  The poison had reached her guts.  If she had to estimate how much fight she had left in her, she would say just over half.  If she was going to save this stranger from the fairies, it would need to be done now.

Hacking violently, the forged onward, making a beeline for the blinking lights in the trees.  The rest accompanied her in varying states of health.  Bernard, however, collapsed to his knees.  Hearing the crash, Olivie span around.  [color=954535]"What"?"[/color]  Immediately her rival's Pokemon stopped and rushed to his side, but he pushed them away.  Selecting a pokeball from his bag, he sent out a birdlike Pokemon and said, [color=3EB489]”I can't keep going.  This poison is too much.  You have to do it, Olivie.  Painkiller, Scylla: go with her, follow her instructions.  Agh!  …Delilah, get me to Feyhollows...clinic.”[/color]  With no hesitation, the Staravia picked her trainer up and ascended to the trees to the skies above.  Olivie watched, quietly struggling with her own affliction.  There wasn't much time.  She started to run.

Moments later, Olivie, her Nidoran, Painkiller, and Scylla burst from the bushes near Cici.  [color=954535]”Hey!  We're not done with you yet!”[/color] the brunette bellowed.
