That looks much closer, but there's still a little work to do with the power.

The power you have currently seems to be teleportation that is very painful and can only be done from shadow to shadow. We actually already have a teleporter that can teleport to places she has visited and is less damaged by the process. It's not that you can't have the same power, it's just that you're currently a little overshadowed (excuse the pun) and might benefit from a little reworking. How about if the power were more of a Smoke-Form deal, as is sort of the case now? Less about moving from one place to another with extreme speed and more to do with near intangibility and moving through obstacles. It's pretty similar to what you've described and would give Lucas a lot of freedom to move through and around obstacles, something that seems to fit his personality.

I'm struggling to think of a better example than Reaper from Overwatch, but I think you probably know what I mean.
