Ah, the Deatheaters and Voldemort's smoke spell thing (don't the Order have something similar in the films? Only their smoke is white? It's been a while) is exactly the sort of thing I was thinking of. Though maybe not as fast, I seem to remember them chasing people on brooms as smoke?
