Yes, the focus of Jötunn is on heavy industry, but that has a few reasons. 
Firstly, they have to possibility to do so! They have the power (global leader in geo-thermal Energy), the resources (at the moment when the rp starts, they are strip-mining Greenland and Svalbard, control the Ruhrbelt, and are hoping to expand into Siberia and/or Antarctica) and the assets for producing. (Again, mostly the Ruhrbelt, but i could see them industrializing the coast of Greenland)

Secondly, its a market that is quite lucrative in Europa, if not the whole northern hemisphere, with little competition (Except the Aussies, but fuck these guys!). With most of the other cooperation being in the manufacturing market, they sure will need Jötunn resources!

And last, they dont have many alternatives! With most of their territory being in the most underdeveloped parts of the world, and Germany still split, they cant really go Robotics (and why should they, they would fight a losing battle against the EDA and Damascus Corp!), their land dosnt really offer anything for Agriculture (and GenTech is to close for that!). The service industry would take away to much manpower (I want that the lack of manpower is one of the major weaknesses of this company!) from their main bread and butter! So yeah, heavy industry it is!
