Her still heart dropped into her stomach. She gulped. sure I'm hungry, but not for pizza. Annalies' mind betrayed her and she fought to not mutter those words out loud. Instead she smirked and poked him in the chest, "Ehhh. I guess I'll have a slice." She shrugged and leaned back against the cupboard more. A part of her wanted to wrap her legs around him and kiss him. The other part, her smarter half apparently, rang warning bells inside of her head. She was careful not to let any of the mess in her thoughts show on her face. She simply kept the smirk plastered there and acted like she was 100% comfortable with him being that close to her. -- Well, shit. Markus smiled at her and held her tightly, "Of course I will! I completely forgot about our little tradition." He could see the anxiety he had caused her and felt a guilty pang inside of his chest. Carelessness was his new middle name. No more Benjamin. He just had to control himself. Come on man. You're a 300 year old vanpire. Get your shit together. 20 minutes later they were both sitting on the couch watching a movie. Markus had his arm draped around her as he focused intently on whatever it was they were watching. Okay maybe he was only pretending to do so. Cassandra's heart beat strong and it was all he could focus on. Every little thump followed by a swish of blood through her veins. He was totally screwed. What would he do if he drank from her? What if he just made her forget about it later? It would be fun. Markus' instincts were betraying him. His inner predator wanted to attack her here and now. He gulped and kept his eyes focused on the TV. He knew if he looked away and at her he would lose control.
