Cass followed Murphy as he led her around and she chewed on her bottom lip as they saw Lincoln standing there. She felt Murphy letting her hand go and she took a step back as he walked towards his friend. She shifted to the side and just watched, waiting for the moment she'd need to do something for either of them. Lincoln only snapped out of his stupor when he heard Murphy's voice behind him. He spun around so sharply he was surprised he didn't give himself whiplash. "Murph. Shut the fuck up." His voice was defeated, there was no fire there, he was just limp in every manner of the word. His body had loosened up as soon as the familiar voice had sounded. He half thought he'd get mad once Murphy showed up, take out his emotions in a fight with his friend. Sadly that would have been too normal and this situation was anything but. "I can't..." His voice broke again and he crumpled on the spot. His knees sagged and his legs splayed out beneath him as he curled up into himself and began to sob like a baby. Cass's eyes widened and she gaped as she saw it, she had never expected this man to crumple like paper but he just had. This was seriously bad, worse than she could have imagined... She lifted her hand and covered her mouth in shock, her eyes began to well up as she tried to stop herself from crying. Lincoln fell from his knees and lay on the floor, sobbing as if his whole world had ended and for all intents and purposes, it had. All eyes were on him then as the other visitors, patients and even staff stopped to see what the commotion was.
