Being honest, I was going to use a Warlord class titan as the base for my mech, but I know of another bio that already did something similar, and after learning that the technology was only recently pressed into military use, I wanted to have something a tad more unique. Thus, I came up with the idea of someone not liking to use the mech suits and instead opting for older technology. (Fun fact: The original tank idea I had in mind was an oversized Maus.)

Then I thought that our tanks were simply too plain to properly fit in with a world where mechs were becoming the norm, and wanted to upgrade my tank's overall combat power. So I started looking at Baneblades from Warhammer 40k, and the image of the fortress of arrogance popped back into my head. I couldn't help but tack on Yarrick since the tank is never shown without him standing on the turret. Thus, Gregory was born. Er, written.
