Lol yeah I was exaggerating to make a point ;) But really, I personally LOVE making characters. Period. And I like to have explanations for everything. Adding a background to side characters explains why they are who they are. I guess I'm one of those folk who likes to create a world and fill it with [i]"real"[/i] people with real histories. Or in this case real pokemon. So again, not necessary, no, but I find it really adds to the gaming experience :)
