After eating finishing his food, Ventus decides it would be best to head for his room, so he can catch up on his studies. So, he got up from his seat and walked to his room. When he entered the room, closing the door behind him, the first thing he saw was a desk and chair. The desk had a stack of books upon it, and when he looked through the books, he found out that they each portrayed the five types of magic. Although wind was his core magic, he decided to look at the other books first, so he can advance in those. After giving it some thought, he decided to look at the book on Spirit magic first, for he was very interested on the concept of actually receiving help from spirits in battle, but also, he also wanted to see if the book had any information on demons. 

He opened the book and began first with the chapter about demons. From what he could tell after the first few pages, the book explained that demons are not to be underestimated, for one wrong move or if your will was weak, they would take over your body and use it temporarily until you were able to break free, or devour your soul completely, killing the light within you. Again, Ven was reminded of the darkness. He continued to read, hoping to find out if there was some sort of connection between the darkness and light.
