[@tsukune] I appreciate the quick input. Regarding 'Age', based on what you've said I think I'll keep the category where it is. The main reason I considered removing it was actually because it'd force people to edit their profiles (to change it) in the instance that we actually ended up having a birthday come up at some point due to time progressing realistically. I normally like to include other information in brackets in the 'Birthdate' category. For example, if I was to list my own birthday in real life into my usual CS format, it'd be done like this: November 17 (Thursday), 1983 (GMT+10) I'm actually still considering having that information in people's profiles, because I personally love little details like that to make things more 'real'. Since this role-play it set in the real world, it's entirely fitting to have this information, but I haven't committed to making it obligatory (thoughts are welcome). With that in mind, it'd be awkward to have brackets listing the age afterwards, so I think I'll leave the 'Age' category, but I'll somehow have it organized in such a way that it's made clear that it's the character's age at the time the story begins. I'm open to suggestions for how people think it would be best to format or include that information, since I don't usually do it. I'm thinking with the 'Age' category itself will include brackets to mention the context, or when people list their age they include the context that it's based on the date of arrival at the setting. As for 'Also Known As', it's a staple of my CS format that usually pertains to anything from an 'alias' or 'nickname' to even a 'title' the character has. More than one can be included, and what the thing listed is would also be listed in brackets. If I need to give an example of this, I will, but you should have an idea what I mean. So the question is whether you guys think we should include that category. There's a more complicated reasoning behind all of this, but I can't discuss it until I reveal the information in the 'Private' CS. [@Pudding]
But I saw the update in your thread. I can work on a more structured CS now. Is it okay if I change the format? I like to stylise my CS's. I'll keep the necessary requirements in. It'll probably just look different.
I reckon this is probably a question you should've asked in the interest check, so everyone knew the answer. Honestly, I usually don't like it when people stylize their character sheets too much because it can make things more difficult to read and keep tabs on, but I might be okay with it if it's not too drastic -- I do enjoy cool and personalized looking character profiles. I think I'd probably have to see what it looks like when you're done, because overall I'd like everyone's sheets to look fairly easy on my eyes. It's sort of like when you're reading an instruction manual for a game or a guidebook for an anime -- character profiles usually have a similar format for ease of use. So yeah, you can try to mess with the format but I can't say whether I'll be okay with it until I see it myself. I did put the code/format their for a reason. You should also keep in mind that I listed the template as 'Incomplete' for a reason too -- even the format isn't finished yet and I'm likely going to personalize it more. I'm currently messing with its format in a PM to try and determine what format looks the best to me on this particular website. People shouldn't assume the format is complete, and should focus more on the instructions in the hider. Regardless of how you mess with it, I definitely don't want the portrait at the top being changed.
