The darkness swirled and shifted, becoming brighter and brighter until it was nothing but light. A high pitched ringing sound nearly masked growling, hungry panting and screaming. Cassandra realized those were all her own. She felt things she had never felt before, and she was terrified for it. She feel deeper into the burning light, shielding her eyes she she finally dropped. Waking with a gasp she flung her arms to her sides. Her body rose off the bed unnaturally, suspended in air. Her eyes were pure white. She felt hungry, powerful, tiny and huge at the same time. She felt a feeling she hadn't felt in a long time, and suddenly she shook once, then hit the bed. When she did it was like a shock wave. Energy rolled through the universe, emanating form her. As if the tectonic plates collided in response, the earth shook. Still unaware of who or what or where she was, Cassandra grasped the sheets in a blind panic. She was crying. It felt quite literally like the world around her was falling apart. Books from her bookshelf came loose and hit the floor. A framed photo of her and her mother shattered next to the waste bin. Her computer monitor fell heavily, dragging down the keyboard and mouse. Cassandra fought the rising feeling in her gut. She knew why this was happening. It was her. She wasn't who she thought she was. [hr] Waking with a start, Adam felt the world move under him. "Woah" Things shifted and fell, and he nearly rolled out of bed by mistake. Getting up on shaky feet he pushed his way towards the door, arms outstretched. "Katherine!" He yelled with concern. Was she okay? Maybe she was sleeping through it, nothing bug had fallen had it? "Katherine! He yelled again, slumping against the wall without want. "Talk to me girl!" He sidled the support and slid along it, making his way towards the living room, where he thought he saw light.
