This is raw mana that spirits can use in any type of element. What if we remove the spirits and put runes instead of that. So you have to make the runes from something solid and powerful. A rune crafted from magical wood is much stronger off course. you need special items to craft the runes in a specific way and add mana gathered over the time outside your body. Make a nice text out of that.
