[@KoL] Don't worry -- I'm not gonna assume you're not devoted if you don't respond for a day or so, but I definitely appreciate people who make their enthusiasm clear like you've done now. I'm also really liking how inquisitive you are about some of the more finer details about this project, so don't feel like you're posting too much. I didn't tell people to ask questions in the opening post for nothing, after all. I've been thinking about a lot of the categories you've listed, actually -- I simply hadn't settled on them or their placement in the CS or which CS they would be most appropriate for. I've also been considering the possibility for a 'Trivia' (to use your wording, though I'm uncertain if this would be the official tag) section for in the 'Public CS' that you could use to give notes you'd like to add about the character, since I also enjoy little trivial details. This same place could also be used to include things such as your astrological or blood type, if those aren't made part of the obligatory section. This way only people who think they're important or useful need to include them. For example, not everyone believes in astrology, but some people might want to make a point that their character is - for example - a Scorpio. I don't follow astrology myself, but because my own sign (Scorpio, and specifically November 17 born Scorpio) fits me quite well and my fiancé's fits her, I actually do usually base all my character's birthdays off astrology -- mostly as a bit of fun. One of the reasons I've been neglecting to finalize certain parts of the characters sheets so far is that I'm actually deciding what parts I think should be public or private. I like that you've brought up the detail about character's being celebrities, because I'm actually in agreement that if someone wants to play a celebrity it'd make sense that they'd potentially need to make more information public than, say, some regular everyday schmuck. I'll think about this in more detail, because it's actually not something I've thought about simply because I was going to keep everyone's character sheets consistent, but if anyone else has thoughts regarding it then I'd like to hear them, especially since I'm all about realism even in settings with supernatural concepts. Of course, even if a character is a celebrity, there's no guarantee everyone would know them, but it's useful information for people who would. I've been thinking about a synopsis of sorts myself, actually. The 'Personality' category (I won't go into how I'm planning to have it presented yet) was potentially (hadn't decided) going to be private so you don't know too much about each other, but I like the idea of us basically having a sort of summary of who the character is in 'Public CS' -- this'd sort of be like the basic information you might get about the cast if you - for example - read the character profiles on a DVD you bought, or in novels that include profiles that don't have spoilers. As I've mentioned, yeah, stylization is perfectly fine for CS, within reason. I plan to give more elaboration on this when I provide the final version of the opening post's CS section. Basically, I want all of the categories to remain in the order and format I've given (basically, I want the answers written as I've asked them to be), but you're allowed to 'make your profiles look fancy' so long as it doesn't end up looking jarring or difficult on the eyes. I've actually already received a PM from [@Pudding] with a draft of their 'Public CS' (and I liked what I saw), and I'd be happy to read it if you'd like to do the same. I'm going to ask that people not post a CS into the actual thread until the whole format for the 'Public CS' has been provided and completed, but PM samples are perfectly fine. I've been considering including the languages your character knows and can speak into the character sheets, but the problem is that this information is only useful for the first few posts at most of the role-play. Again, I won't spoil why, but once you're at the location the whole 'language barrier' concept actually won't exist. There's a very good reason that the letters you all received inviting you to this place were written in your own languages, regardless of how abstract or rare said language was. If your characters happen to meet each other on the way to the location, and you don't know each other's languages, you won't be able to communicate, but once they're there this won't be an issue. [@Bishop] If you can come up with such a character and they'll fit the themes and setting the role-play is going for, I don't see any reason why not. There's actually a good reason (I'm not spoiling it) why anyone could be invited, so don't fret too much about trying to justify why you'd be invited -- this goes for all of you, just for the record. The most significant criteria is, of course, that this is an offer the character can't refuse, and a person in the situation you're describing would certainly be desperate, so as long as they live somewhere that would allow them to travel (assuming they were bought a passport -- when I say this was an all-expenses paid ticket to the location, I mean it), then this type of character is fine if you've got a CS in mind for one and they're suitable for the role-play. So even if you're not a local of Paris, you'd still be able to come because the letter your character received also includes whatever is needed to get through loopholes or problems preventing you coming here. Arguably, the host of this thing easily has enough money to bribe people into allowing a criminal to come here. Not that I'm trying to give anyone ideas for the sort of characters to create, but it should give you an idea of how unlimited the possibilities are for what types of individuals can take part in this so long as the character sheets meet my approval. So long as your character knows some sort of language that would make it possible for them to receive a letter, it should be fine. Edit: 'Also Known As' has been returned to the CS -- instructions and format are still pending. 'Age' was removed.
