The shields absorbs much of the damage, and the armor lessens the impact of the bite significantly. Tough Krogan biology and secondary organs help to keep the bitten arm functional. Thick Krogan hide significantly decreases the length of teeth that penetrates below the skin. The secondary Krogan nervous system keeps the bitten arm functional.
