In her human form, Ayane wears a leaf hair pin, which is a part of her concealment spell. The spell hides her ears and tail, and makes her hair appear to be an ordinary shade of black, making her look no different from an ordinary human. When she wishes to reveal herself, crimson markings appear around her eyes, down her arms, and down her back, signifying her divine nature.

[b]Personality:[/b] Curious, optimistic, and aloof. Ayane is an impulsive fox with little concern for long-term consequences. She does what she feels like, though she is a kind-hearted creature, so this rarely involves causing harm or mayhem. She is accepting of all kinds of people be they sinner or saint, and enjoys learning about the way other people think. However, she has a ruthless side should she conclude that you are her enemy and has no qualms bloodying her hands should the need arise. 

[b]History:[/b] Ayane was born in an ordinary litter of fox cubs, raised by kind and loving parents.  She was protected while her parents taught her how to fend for herself as well as how to use her magical abilities, but the urge to venture off is stronger than familial ties among kitsune. She was neither the first nor the last of her litter to break away, but one day she felt she was able to take care of herself, and set off to see the world. 
She flitted from place to place, sometimes living as a fox in the wild, other times mingling among the humans. The city of Gravette, though, intrigued her. She found the turmoil that existed under the city’s mundane surface fascinating, and so decided to settle down and stay for a while. She got a job at a local Starbucks, and has been living in the city for about a year.
In that time, she occasionally got herself wrapped up in the war. She befriended some fellow supernaturals, helped hunt some rival supernaturals, and even fended off a hunter or two. To her, it is all one big game, and she’s found herself a little niche. 

[b]Strengths:[/b] -Ayane has been taking self-defense classes at a local gym, and has proven to be a rather tough girl despite her dainty appearance. 
-Ayane is a survivalist and knows quite a lot about nature and how to live in the wilderness. She also has a green thumb. 
-Ayane has sharp senses, including a keen nose, eyes, and ears. While she can’t track an individual’s odor, she can identify scents that the average human cannot.

[b]Weaknesses:[/b] -Ayane is careless and aloof. She is still young for a kitsune, and her reckless actions can easily get her in trouble.
-Ayane has quite a bit of “street smarts,” but “book smarts…” not so much. Her reading comprehension and math skills would probably be too weak to get her a GED. 
-Ayane is good at getting out of tight situations, but she is prone to panic when she’s cornered or outmatched. 

[b]Stance:[/b] Officially inactive, though she has been known to help people that she likes on both sides of the war. She is perhaps a bit too naïve to fully process the consequences of such actions…

[b]Special Power/Skill:[/b] [u]Foxfire[/u]: The fundamental force behind all kitsune magic. In its raw form, foxfire is a pale blue flame that can either give off a warm light, or burst into a blazing inferno. The flame is divine in nature, so it is effective against even creatures that are immune to mortal flames. 
In addition to combat, foxfire is also used in illusory magic. Ayane coats herself in foxfire to make herself appear human; she can also change her appearance as she likes. She can create false sounds and images, and has learned to use the flame to forge legal documents. 

[u]Kitsune Movement[/u]: Ayane is more swift and agile than a normal human. She is capable of all manner of acrobatics, can leap great heights and distances, and can even land lightly from great heights. She has impeccable balance, capable of standing on tightropes with a single foot, and can even walk across bodies of water. 

[b]Other:[/b] All kitsune possess a glass sphere called a “Hoshi no Tama” or Star Ball. This glass sphere is the source of a kitsune’s magical powers, and if one manages to steal it, they can neutralize a kitsune’s powers, potentially enslaving them until they decide to give it back. Yukine keeps her Hoshi no Tama in her apartment, disguised as a cheap necklace in her jewelry box. [/hider]

[b]Personality:[/b] Sarcastic and cynical, it’s easy for him to rub people the wrong way. He mostly thinks logically, and rarely reveals his emotions besides amusement. He enjoys indulging in the finer things in life, and so is financially driven. He treats others as acquaintances at best, and there is nobody alive that he would truly call a friend. 

[b]History:[/b] Claude grew up in an orphanage that was run by the Catholic Church. For one reason or another, he was never adopted, and little choice but to pursue a life as a man of the cloth. However, Claude was not a humble child, and he wanted more than such a life could give him, so he parted from the church as soon as he came of age. 

Claude took the world of underground fighting much more readily than he did to priesthood. He learned to fight the hard way, suffering plenty of losses while he was young, but before the fights crippled him, he was able to sharpen his Savot and dirty fighting skills to earn him quite a reputation… until he faced off against a supernatural. 

One day, there was something off about his opponent. Perhaps it was the fact that he brushed off a liver kick like it was nothing, or perhaps it was the fact that he had more strength than muscles that size should have been able to produce, but Claude knew the man he was fighting was no human. One the brink of defeat, he used the last resource he had, his religious upbringing, and recited a prayer to banish demons. It seemed to make his opponent uneasy, and provided just the distraction that Claude needed. 

After the fight, his opponent’s manager approached him, and informed him that he had fought a lesser demon, and offered him a deal to fight some more. They were supposed to be rigged fights, ones that the demons would throw to make the manager profit, but Claude had a better idea. He wanted to see if he could take these creatures out legitimately, and so he returned to the church to arm himself against demons.

Claude discovered he was good at it. [i]Very[/i] good at it. Eventually he left underground fighting altogether, and started hunting demons on behalf of the Catholic Church. The church wasn’t thrilled with his less-than-pious personality, but they couldn’t deny his results. He has since tried to keep good relations with the church, as they supply him with most of his holy materials.

He eventually made his way to Gravette, a city chock full of clients and targets, and opened a private investigation firm. On paper, he handles infidelity cases. But those with the right connections, know him as a hunter, one that has never let a mark escape. His prices are high, but his results are undeniable. Anyone with a grudge against a supernatural being is welcome in his office… well, their money is anyway. 

[b]Weapons:[/b] [i]Penance[/i] – A customized Colt Python. The sight has been modified into a crucifix, which has the typical debilitating effects of the holy artifact while Claude aims at his prey. It fires .357 Magnum caliber rounds. The bullets are made of silver and custom designed to splinter upon impact. All of Claude’s rounds are soaked in the blood of Christ before he deems them worthy of use.

[i]Apostle[/i] – A collapsible silver baton with a pointed tip, perfect for impalements. By squeezing the handle, Claude can electrify the baton with 50,000 volts of electricity. It has been blessed by The Pope with holy water, and has Deuteronomy 33:27 engraved in Latin: “He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy!’” 

[i]Sacrament[/i] – A 4’’ silver hunting knife. The blade was tempered in the blood of Christ. In the hilt, he keeps a capsule of anointing oil. By squeezing the hilt, he can cause it to secrete the oil and coat his blade. 

[i]Hidden Blade[/i] – Claude’s right shoe has a retractable silver blade that has been blessed with holy water. 

[i]Zippo Lighter[/i] – A silver lighter decorated with Christ imagery. The base of the lighter has a small ring. Pulling the ring reveals a small spool of retractable fiber wire, lubricated with anointing oil.

[b]Supernatural Target:[/b] Specializes in demons, but he’ll take on anything.

[b]Strengths:[/b] -An expert in Savot boxing, knife fighting, and dirty fighting. Also a capable marksman.
-His connections to the church give him a supply of holy weaponry, and all the scriptural knowledge one needs to hunt down demons.

[b]Weaknesses:[/b] -His colt python is powerful, but can only hold six rounds before he has to manually reload. 
-He is a smoker, and doesn’t have the lung capacity for long chases, or the speed to keep up with many supernaturals should they decide to flee.

[b]Stance:[/b] Active. He will hunt any supernatural that he is paid to, but will ignore any supernatural that is not on his hit list. He’ll wait until someone is willing to pay to have him take them out.

[b]Other:[/b] He has a tattoo of Psalm 18:32 in Latin on his back: “It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on high places. He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.”[/hider]
