[color=wheat]“Challenge the gym?”[/color] Aedre asked, eyes wide. The thought hadn’t even occurred to her despite the fact that she’d read up on the area on her way here. The gym leader was named Lan Sohai, if memory served her correctly. As the leader was a Normal-type specialist, Aedre figured he was probably the humble sort, which made sense as Mesalon was said to be founded around an old monastery. [color=wheat]“I hadn’t even thought of that, actually,”[/color] Aedre said, frowning. 

Despite the fact that she had never really been one to participate in Pokemon battles, Aedre knew that her new subject — Honedge — was a Pokemon that displayed a different side in battle. This was a research opportunity she couldn’t pass on.

[color=wheat]“If you’re going to challenge the gym, that would mean that you’re quite strong, right?”[/color] Aedre asked, looking at the other girl. Looking between the three people she’d led out of the hospital, Aedre realized that they all looked like rather experienced trainers — like they’d been through much but still knew they had ways to go. Experienced — the adjective she could not apply to herself in the field of Pokemon battles except when talking about statistics and analytics. [color=wheat]“Would any of you mind if I tagged along?”[/color] Aedre asked with a friendly smile. [color=wheat]“I just arrived yesterday and am due to be here for another few days.”[/color]
