Alright, here's another idea. 

In the distant future, humans have invented FTL travel and colonised hundreds of planets and blah blah blah, you know, standard Sci-Fi stuff. However, this is where the fun starts.

I'll be controlling a gun-toting mercenary with an explosive personality, and his A.I. assistant. He's on his way to a human colony after completing a contract on his ship when its FTL drive suffers from an inconvenient malfunction, and he is forced to drop out of hyperspace back to realspace over an uncharted planet that happens to be your average fantasy world with dragons and elves and stuff. With nowhere else to go, he decides to land his ship in the middle of a large forest clearing and gets out to explore the area.

Your character, preferably a female freelance knight of some sort, happens to be in the area and witnesses the ship landing. She decides to investigate. How she encounters my character is up to you, and the story unfolds from there. May contain romance.
