As a baby he would appear in nappy commercials and then as he grew into a toddler and a young boy, he would appear in adverts and he would have bit parts in tv shows. His parent s weren’t bad people, they just didn’t really have a lot going for them, so when little Jude came along, all pretty eyes and long hair they thought maybe, just maybe if they got him started in something early, they might just have a shot at making something of themselves. After a short while, when Jude was about ten, his parents decided to move to LA in hopes of landing Jude some big part that would make them filthy rich. He didn’t…until the spring of 2001 that is… During that year, casting execs were looking for talented young actors for roles in a hot new drama they had planned for a summer release. Edenridge High was going to be the moneymaker for Bellarose studios. When Jude and his parents heard about this, they immediately set themselves up for an audition. To get prepared, Jude studied for hours the South Boston dialect and read up on everything he could related to the area. Going into his audition, the fourteen year old wowed the casting directors and was cast as Roddy Callahan, younger brother to main cast member Francis. Over the course of Edenridge High, Jude’s recognition as a young actor grew, his portrayal of the socially awkward and bullied Roddy was lauded and he received several awards for his acting. When the show ended, Jude moved on to a few more tv roles before finally making it into the movies. However life took a turn when Jude was diagnosed with a heart disease, this stopped him from taking on some very big roles and caused his once bright star to fade. Now closing twenty six, he was approached to return to the role that made him famous. With very little else to do, Jude signed on the dotted line and flew back out to Boston to see what Roddy has been up to for ten years. He was the younger brother of Francis and pretty small for his age. Life was pretty normal for Roddy, nothing spectacular ever really happened to him until he was fourteen and started at Edenridge High. During his time there, Roddy became the target for bullies due to his small stature and as his brother was dealing with his own issues, the young boy was pretty much left to fend for himself. Eventually, Francis began to help his brother out and took him to the local boxing gym where Roddy would spend most of his nights thereafter, learning how to defend himself and learning self-confidence. As time progressed, Roddy’s early battle with bullying reared its ugly head again as the psychological damage began to manifest as a very nasty and violent temper. For much of his teen years, Roddy became prone to solving problems with his fists rather than his brain. In spite of this, Roddy was highly intelligent, scoring in the 98th percentile during is SAT’s. Never one for words, Roddy tends to be able to convey everything with just a look. Towards the end of his high school career, Roddy began to show signs of a borderline compulsion to rescue other people. Whenever his friends were having problems, he would interject himself into the situation to try and fix it. This often lead to things getting worse before they got better, including at one point Roddy getting shot during the school shooting. The bullet went straight through Rod's spine causing terrible damage. After major surgery, he had to go through months upon months of physical rehabilitation to regain the use of his legs. During which time he grew close to one Lanie Lancaster and eventually started a relationship with her. Finally the two of them managed to return to high school to complete their final year. Upon graduation, Roddy headed off to University in Texas. Ten years on, Roddy is still living in Edenridge, working as a firefighter and boxing trainer. He and Lanie are married with one daughter.
