I understand this is well outside propriety, but you're all rather blasé about what seems to me to be a rather important issue. I have to agree with data here. In a fight on this scale, messing with either party without the consent and cooperation of the one trying to keep us alive would most likely end up dooming us to the fate you are trying to avoid.
