He had always been interested in acting from an early age, as well as jazz, as a child he often participated in Mardi Gras parades playing his trombone. He attended the Juilliard School's Drama Division from 1981 to 1985, where he graduated as a member of Group 14 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Over the years, Sidney appeared in many movies and tv shows, mostly as a low level one shot appearance. It wasn’t until he early two thousands that he finally found a character he connected with; Antoine Beauregard. Sidney auditioned and was initially unsuccessful as the producers, although impressed, felt he was too young for the role. Luckily, a scheduling conflict forced the chosen actor to drop out and Sidney got the part. Often considered a core piece of the heart and soul of the show, Sidney loved Edenridge High and was heartbroken when it ended. All but retiring when the show was cancelled, Sidney took his time to raise his kids. When the call when out for the revival, Sidney rediscovered his passion for acting and was the first to actually sign on the dotted line…besides, someone had to look after those idiots. Initially appearing in the first episode, Mr Beau quickly became a father figure to many of the cast with his sharp wit and strong sense of morals. His Nawlin’s drawl stood out amongst a sea of Boston bred boys and girls, which along with his penchant for pinstripes left him one of the more memorable characters in the shows run. Beau’s experience with crime as a former police officer left him with vital knowledge and experience that he could pass on to some of his more disruptive students in order to sway them from a dark path.
