Oh, and you May find that Emmerich's biggest fear is that his Beast side dominantes him completely. 

He is always traveling exactly because his other side. He can either accept it as a part of him and learn to control it or completely kill this other side.

But he cant do either of those things alone. What path he will follow depends on the people he meets, his relationship with them... (If he remain being the "lone Wolf" that is always isolating himself from others because of this Beast side, it will inevitably control him.)
