Name: Soley Gibson Age: 17 Appearance: Soley is a lanky girl, with long legs, and a lean build. As a Rogue member, many physically straining activities built wiry muscles. She often carries a sceptical, sometimes even mean expression on her face, which highlight her otherwise soft facial features. She has violet shoulder-length hair, which she often strokes back, as it tends to cover her right eye often. Her day-to-day attire consists of a maroon-colored leather jacket, a plain black tank top, black skinny jeans, and oversized boots, creating her scrappy appearance, which is common in Orre, but especially in Pyritus and the Under. Personality/Motivation: Soley is driven by her yearning to find something exciting, as well as her extremely competitive nature. Her adventure's primary goal is to battle in the Pokemon League one day, which was a dream of hers since her friend's father told her the tales of his journey in Johto, and the cause of much dismay, seeing as Orre has no Pokemon League. She has a rough shell, and carries herself in an independent way. She grew up with many rowdies around, and has adapted to the difficult life in the Orre region, which has given her a sarcastic, sometimes even pessimistic attitude, though she far from unsocial. Instead, she's cautious, and perhaps snarky. She likes to encounter new and exciting things, and has developed a taste for showing off tricks and the like for spectators. She knows plenty of card tricks--some of which are possible only because of Ophelia--as well as skateboard tricks, something the Riders and Street Performers have taught her. Soley's dream is to become a successful and respected Pokemon trainer one day, and to become a pilot and soar through the sky all by herself, just like that Pidgey back in the Under. History: Soley was born in the Orre region, deep down in the Under. Growing up, Soley often felt caged, as the subterranean city, with it's dirty houses and dusty shops, was almost entirely deprived of light and nature. Like most of Orre's citizen, Soley was cautious of Pokemon, due to the abuse of Shadow Pokemon that had shook the region up years before, leaving her feeling lonely a lot of times. To make friends, Soley joined a local group of trainers, encompasing Rogues, Chasers, and Street Performers--Common trainers in the crime-ridden Orre region. Though her parents disapproved, as most individuals with such a trainer class got into trouble with the Pyritus Police quite often, she soon made friends, and learned many helpful tricks from the St. Performers. One of the members of the group was a boy named Cor, whose father was a pilot, and he'd often tell her stories from his younger years. Though Soley loved those tales, they also fueled her yearning for freedom and adventure. Soley's fear of Pokemon had slowly begun to dwindle, as her fellow Street Performers all had Pokemon Partners. It fully disappeared, as one day, a Pidgey flew through one of the old lift shafts connecting Under and Pyritus. Soley watched the flying-type soar over Under's houses effortlessly, and, in her amazement, forgot her fear of Pokemon completely. Subsequently , she decided that she had to leave the city, and begin her own quest for freedom and fame in the Pokemon League--Just as Cor's father had told her about. A few months after her 16th birthday, she was given a Shuppet by her father, who himself had trained a Banette since his early childhood. Soley named her new partner Ophelia, and soon ventured upwards to Pyritus, and, for the first time in her life, after saying her goodbyes, left the surface city behind her entirely. After traveling through the harsh arid lands of the Orre region, Soley arrived at an airport, where she boarded the cheapest flight, and ended up in Mistralton City. Much to her delight, she soon found out about Skyla, the local gym leader, who also happened to be a famous pilot. Though Soley could barely wait to meet and challenge her, Ophelia seemed to have other plans, and the ghost-type regularly requested her trainer to follow her. Eventually, she managed to nudge Soley towards the Celestial Tower. The Shuppet seemed quite fond of the burial-ground, while Soley found herself at awe with the strange Pokemon living here. The pair came across a tan woman, with flowers in her head, who introduced herself as Phoebe, and complimented Soley for her choice of partner, as she, too, was a ghost-type trainer. The Elite Four member and Soley soon conversed, and after the girl had explained her ambitions, Phoebe told her off the Alola region, where beginner trainers go through trials of various difficulty. The variety of these trials seemed a perfect fit, and so Phoebe recommended Soley to travel further, and begin her own island challenge. She finished her thoughts with introducing herself as an Elite Four member, something that impressed and excited Soley so much, that she immediately jumped on the idea. Back in Mistralton City, Soley inquired about opportunities to make money, so that she could afford her trip to Alola. Luckily, the Mistralton Airport had an opening. Though it wasn't exactly piloting a plane, the girl jumped at the chance. After a few months, Soley had not only gotten a taste of the airport life, she also had earned enough money to pay for her travels, as well as a bit of a finanical cushion. As soon as the flight plans allowed it, Soley boarded yet another plane, and eventually stepped foot onto a naval tourist spot, from where she rode a Ride Sharpedo, and finally arrived on Melemele Island--The place where she was supposed to find Alola's famous Professor Kukui.
