I could see it happening either way like that honestly. I could actually see the second one happening when her dad's in town. Because she'd ask him to come to dinner with them so she doesn't have to deal with Serg and her dad having their intense stare offs alone, and Kyp wouldn't be helpful. And her dad would be saying something about the whole thing and before she realizes what she says, she says it, shuts him up, and then feeling herself getting stared at and just kind of shuts herself up.
