Captain Dawn sips his coffee, enjoying the aroma and the taste, as the members of Alpha team entered the bridge. Of course he expected his fellow Captain Gregory to be right on time. The man was always that way. He couldn’t help but give him a smirk and a nod. This is all standard fair for the two of them. Next came, Private Kevin. He seemed unassuming for a member of the UNF but from what Dawn heard from the top brass, this kid had some potential with Valkinai. Not too far behind, Michi walks in with an air of professionalism. Dawn gives a courtesy nod to her just before finishing his coffee. This is not the first time that he has worked with her so he also knew to stay on his toes. Finally, the late “Good. That's everyone. Stewart. Lock the doors and re-route communications to only accept Emergency hails.” “Yes, sir!” “Alright then. This mission comes from the General, himself.” He hands out a file to each of them. “They are more details in the files but i’ll go over it briefly. You’ll be escorting a VIP to a underground lab a few hundred miles outside of Priscus. Not only are you to make sure he is not harmed but upon reaching the lab, you are to pick up a package. Details on the package are sketchy but once you pick it up, we’re taking it back to Licentia. Sounds simple. Should be simple.” He pauses before turning around and activating a hologram of a map. The map charted a path from where they are now, to Priscus to the lab. As the path continued, it turned a darker red and blaring danger. “However, they’ve been a lot of attacks around this area lately. Some involved stolen UNF valkinais, others were standard ambushes by a radical faction or two. Top brass is tired of these "terrorist" causing trouble and so, they have given permission for all of you to use deadly force if something like this happens. Just keep the VIP alive and make it to the UNF Lab. Do well? You may even get a reward, or so I'm told.” As he finishes, he checks some reports and reads it quickly before nodding in confirmation. “Any questions?"
[@Hell Coos][@The 4 Winds][@Valor][@Marquise] =========
A laugh left Hale’s lips as she looks over her team. “You guys are great.” She says under breath while getting her serious face on. There was no need for announcement or much formality at this point just the facts. “I’m not gonna lie to ya. We got the shit end of the stick for this.” Hale’s tone shifted and grabs a map of the area, laying it on a nearby table some engineers were using. “Our leader, Fadio Ginsburg, has given us the mission of attacking a nearby base under UNF control. The Feddies have some sort of big weapon they’re working on and they want to keep it secret. Too bad for them, we love spoiling secrets. Tonight, 2200 hours, we go there, we get whatever they’re hiding and bring it back here.” Hale stands up straight and folds her arms. “Here’s the rub. We need to cut communications and make sure that they do not send any word that they’re being attacked. Fortunately, we have a few measures that can help. A separate force aside from us will be keep some Feddies preoccupied close to Priscus. On our end, we have jammers can stop electronic communications but things like flares or … survivors …” She pauses and takes a deep breath. “No survivors. No one lives. Get in, get the plans. Another unit will pose as UNF for a while and eventually we’ll blow the joint up” She hands out some maps to each of them and returns to rattle off the mission. “Lastly, you cannot, I repeat, cannot be caught. If you’re caught, if they get a signal out or a survivor is left to return to the UNF … you didn’t come from the Ordo. We won’t be rescuing you." Despite the pause, she delivered the orders clearly without a shred of emotion. The engineers fell silent and stared at the team. “This is high risk and I want all of you to come back alive. So, promise me. You’ll come back. Alive. You hear me?" She ended it all with a touch of emotion that she couldn’t help but slip. Hale was a lot of things but above all what made her great was the way she connected with people. This brought a lot of people home and she hopes that the same would prove correct today “As usual, you got questions. Ask em now”
[@POOHEAD189][@Deadnaut][@Kyrisse]
