Oh good character, interesting addition to the group. 

I'd suppose that Tamiko would generally insist that the members of the group call her Tamiko or Tammy (at least in social and non formal situations), anything to make her seem a bit friendlier. 

I'd agree they are not on poor terms, Tamiko would ensure she is as friendly as can be. If Alys is put off on the socialite element then perhaps she can detect a hint of insincerity at times. With the magical element and self dependancy I think that deep down Tamiko would be slightly jealous. She'd want Alys to like her I think, but not for the right reasons if that makes sense.
