Yes it's the clothes their wearing in the new world, and no it doesn't look like the clothing they died in. Since that probably was a school uniform. (most Japanese schools do have a uniform for school). It would be clothing that fits a fantasy medieval world. Left it vague incase my roleplayers wanted to design something themselves.
