Saying something like, ‘make sure you keep it together’ works a lot better for me.” Lex said in jest as the two got started on moving the cart. His face was lit up like a fortunate child’s on Christmas morning. “So, it’s all about doing rather than trying. I think I’d like your Uncle Monkey. Is he the renaissance man?” Lex asked in curiosity. Kwan had spoken of two quotes, from men in her life, so it wasn’t crazy to assume that these men she spoke of might have been the same individual. Lex awaited Kwan’s answer and when the bunker appeared into view, Lex looked upon it with a bit of a frown. It was his home, but it was beginning to feel like an island he could not leave. Even though the doors had opened, no dared to venture too far out. His eyes shifted to Kwan. Except maybe her. She could make plenty of distance with her power. Lex thought to himself as he noticed not many people around the entrance. He figured because it was getting dark, but he guessed there may have been more to it than that. “Not much longer until we’re in. So, what did you do before all this. Before you became a delivery girl.” Lex joked, but was truly interested. He enjoyed joking, because it kept him smiling. In times like these, he needed this more than anything.
