There's no sedative for regular students- sorry for not making that clear. However their power will be temporarily dampened. They have NO superhuman abilities during the launch process.

For writing purposes we'll just say that their powers come back once they step onto The Promise. We'll handle the whole dampening process later- and that'll go case by case. If it's necessary then yes, you'll be told.
